The Project

Project Rosebud is a model for the revitalization of cities across the country beginning with the improvement in quality of life for the unhoused and under-resourced. The Work begins at the Roots by ensuring the entire community is fed, housed and nurtured without exception. The Work continues to Grow through educational, cultural, and spiritual enrichment to ensure sustained measurable growth. Once well-rooted and growing, the Project will continue in other cities around the country with resources and experience from each new community supporting its predecessors.

The Roots

Farm

Each community will be supported by a small farm dedicated to producing high-quality region-specific foods and herbs to feed and heal its people sustainably.

Forest

Each community will be further sustained by a Community Food Forest, a public, sustainably managed space that mimics a natural woodland ecosystem to produce food for generations after its planting — healing both the land and the people dwelling on it.

Kitchen

Using ingredients sourced from the Farm and Forest as well as donations from the community, the Kitchen will be a pay-what-you-can restaurant ran by a rotating staff of established and up-and-coming local chefs and volunteers, producing nourishing high quality meals for both the hungry and the epicurious.

Village

Using sustainable materials readily available from the surrounding area, the Village will be a self-sustaining community that continues to grow as needed.
